Sunstar Insurance Group Names Adam Meyerowitz as Chief Executive Officer

On May 4, 2026, Sunstar Insurance Group welcomed Adam Meyerowitz as Chief Executive Officer. Meyerowitz succeeded Casey Bowlin, who founded the company in 2012 and transitioned to the role of Chairman, providing guidance to the Sunstar senior executive team and adding leadership support to the firm’s acquisition activities and strategic initiatives. Meyerowitz will lead Sunstar’s efforts in the expansion of the company’s geographic footprint, the scaling of its capabilities, the deepening of its already-robust carrier relationships, and the continued attraction of high-caliber agency partners.

“After 14 years of building Sunstar from the ground up, I could not be more confident that we have found the right person to lead our company into its next chapter. I have known Adam personally and professionally for over a decade, and my respect for him only deepened my conviction that he was the right fit for this moment. He brings the experience, the relationships and the operating instincts Sunstar needs at this stage of our growth. I look forward to supporting him as we continue to build something truly remarkable,” said Casey Bowlin, former Chief Executive Officer and founder of Sunstar Insurance Group.

Meyerowitz brings over 20 years of insurance brokerage leadership to the role, including co-founding Prime Risk Partners in 2014, growing it into a top 40 U.S. broker before its 2019 acquisition by EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, and subsequently serving as its Chief Operating Officer.
