Daniel Romero

Daniel Romero serves as Chief Acquisition Officer at Sunstar Insurance Group, where he leads all merger and acquisition initiatives across the company’s expanding footprint. His role focuses on sourcing, structuring, and integrating agency partnerships that align with Sunstar’s culture and long-term growth strategy.

Daniel brings more than 15 years of experience in insurance M&A, having led over 130 strategic acquisitions across the United States. He previously served as Head of Corporate Development for Evertree Insurance, where he was a founding team member. Prior to that, Daniel was Vice President of M&A for Hub International. Guided by the principle that acquisitions are partnerships, Daniel emphasizes cultural alignment, talent development, and operational empowerment.

A graduate of Rutgers University, he is fluent in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish and has lived in seven countries, which shapes his global perspective. Daniel enjoys outdoor activities, and remains actively involved in the special-needs community, having previously served on the Board for Special Olympics of IL.
