Sharon Schmidt

Sharon Schmidt is the Senior Training Manager at Sunstar Insurance Group, where she designs and delivers training programs for new employees and team members from newly acquired agencies. She also provides ongoing support to all Sunstar employees using the Applied Epic management system and related tools, including Applied Mobile, CSR24, and Indio.

Sharon began her insurance career in 1989 in claims and has since held a variety of roles on the agency side of the industry, including Producer, Account Manager, and Quality Manager. She joined Sunstar’s corporate team after her time at Strong’s Insurance, one of Sunstar’s partner agencies.

Her areas of expertise include onboarding, systems training, and technology adoption. She supports both commercial and personal lines teams by helping them work more efficiently with the tools they use every day. Sharon brings a team-oriented and practical approach to training, always considering the learner’s perspective to build trust and ensure the training is relatable and effective.

One of her proudest achievements is developing and implementing company-wide training programs and creating Sunstar-specific course materials. She is passionate about helping employees succeed by simplifying complex tools and serving as a reliable resource as they grow in their roles.
